Along with lower back pain comes the frustration of "WHY do I experience lower back pain?"
All too often when we move into a yoga pose, we prioritise getting the shape right over creating the shape/posture safely. Twists are a prime example of where we do this.
Think about the last time you did a Twisting Chair Pose (or anytwisting posture for that matter). Did you move into the posture with the primary goal of going “deep” into the twist, without first considering which muscles you’d need to engage so you could rotate your spine safely?
Christmas is a time for deep reflection, abundant thankfulness and getting into that joyous, festive spirit. But we also know that Christmas can sometimes be a tad overwhelming. The older we get, the harder it is to feel a sustained presence – especially around this time of year.
What relationship do you have with the outside world? Do you listen when Mother Nature speaks or is it a single-sided conversation?
